Estonian Directors and Dramaturgs Union is an organization that unites and protects the interests of Estonian stage directors and dramaturges. The EDDU was founded in 1992 and was initially only a union of stage directors. However, since 2020, dramaturges have also been included in the union. The goal of the union is to create a community, develop Estonian theatre arts, and defend the rights of its members.
Preserving and nurturing our local cultural history is our priority, but equally important is establishing international relations and providing creative expression opportunities for our members worldwide.
The EDDU board members are: Siret Campbell (Chair), Paavo Piik, Mari-Liis Lill, Margus Kasterpalu, Mehis Pihla, Mariliis Peterson, Johan Elm, Lennart Peep, and Mart Piirimees.
